Earth Day

Is it Time To Move to a Sustainable Clothing Solution?
I bet you didn't know that the fashion industry produces upwards of 3 million tons of textile waste each year, 95% of which could be reused or recycled.
That's a lot.
The central theme of this blog is to push the idea of moving towards greater environmental integrity and introducing social justice for mother earth. In this article, we will look at sustainable clothing ideas and how Happy Sad Mad plays its role in helping to keep the world eco-friendly. One T-Shirt t a time.
Sustainable clothing emphasizes producing alternative garments that do not leave a detrimental impact on planet earth. There are a fraction of people who are wary of thinking about sustainability, and the big brands are exploiting this ideology. However, if "The Big Dogs" switch to more sustainable and ethical fashion items, I'd argue anyone would notice or complain. Let us start from the top of the mountain.
You must be wondering how clothing or fashion can be ethical or sustainable, right?
As opposed to what we generally think, ethical clothing uses products and materials that are eco-friendly. For instance, organic, pesticide-free, non-GMO cotton is what we consider an environmentally friendly and sustainable solution for clothing and fashion! All of which is standard practice here at Happy Sad Mad.
Some of the materials used in crap clothing tend to be carcinogenic and cause derogatory effects in human lives. What about the ink and the process for printing? Direct to Garment (DTG) could be a sustainable solution to the clothing and fashion industry's concerns about reducing water consumption and managing waste production.
Impact of Sustainable Clothing on the World
By introducing sustainability in our everyday lives, and most importantly, in clothing, we can ensure the maximum contribution from our side to our future generations. I believe this is what we all strive for - to give the coming generation something they would be proud of and thankful for.
Some of the big brands are raking in cash by using cheaper quality and non-environment-friendly materials. As organic materials such as cotton derive from natural resources, it becomes expensive, ultimately affecting the bottom line of profit. This is where we are failing in terms of ethics.
The Final Take
Happy Sad Mad Club takes pride in introducing premium quality organic products that offer you design, style, and sustainability. We must learn to see that switching to sustainable options is not for someone else; it's for us and future generations. Moreover, people are becoming more and more educated in this thinking and are starting to consider sustainable solutions as the new normal.

Happy Earth Day!
